Student Experiences

Clear Creek students participate in special area classes including art, library, music, and physical education. In addition, we provide Spanish instruction. Exposure to another language and cultures prepares our students to develop lifelong interest in world languages and a broader worldview. Our Student Council members gain various leadership, collaborative, and planning skills, providing a variety of services, programs, and activities to promote school spirit and service to others. In addition, students may choose from several before and after-school activities including robotics, gardening, jam band, running clubs, and MCCSC’s band and strings programs.

Community Partnership

Students enjoy visits and programs hosted by our community partners, including: Monroe County – Identify and Reduce Invasive Species, CanopyBloomington, Sycamore Land Trust, and Hoosier National Forest.

Clear Creek Elementary received a $5,920 grant from Monroe County – Identify and Reduce Invasive Species to remove seven large invasive Callery pears in our campus landscaping. The work was completed by Bluestone Tree.

“It is rewarding to work with schools like Clear Creek to raise awareness about invasive species as well as to provide opportunities for students, educators, and their communities to get involved in hands-on, nature-based learning to enhance school campuses with native plantings,” shared a community partner on behalf of Sycamore Land Trust.
